hier die Kurzbeschreibung der bis heute ziemlich unbekannten Art aus der Provinz Cordoba
G. affine
the new species Gymnocalycium affine is described, belonging to the G. robustum aggregate of the subgenus Gymnocalycium. It differs from similar and related species by its elongated areoles of 7-11 thin, mostly straight and radially outspread spines, without a coloured base, and rather robust pericarps about as long as the pale-pink corolla. Its distribution range, as it is known to date, is the northern part of the province of Córdoba (Argentina), approximately between the towns of San Pedro Norte and San Francisco del Chañar. It grows on flat pastures and in low hills on permeable soils formed by disintegration of granite and covered by degraded open shrub communities of the Chaco Serrano formation.
